James A. Baffico is an American actor, director and producer. Born on 1 January 1942 in San Francisco, California, he holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and M.A. and B.A. degrees from the University of Nebraska. He began in regional theatre and university teaching before moving into television.

Baffico is known for his role as Wooley in George A. Romero's *Dawn of the Dead* (1978). Other acting credits include *Knightriders* (1981), *All the Right Moves* (1983), *Silver Bullet* (1985) and episodes of *Law & Order* and *Law & Order: Criminal Intent*. He has directed multiple episodes of daytime soap operas including *All My Children*, *Days of Our Lives* and *Another World*, earning two Daytime Emmy Awards and several nominations.
