James Acaster is an English comedian and actor. Born on 9 January 1985 in Kettering, Northamptonshire, he began performing stand-up comedy in 2008 after playing drums in local bands.

Acaster received five consecutive nominations for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has appeared on panel shows including *Taskmaster* (2015) and *Would I Lie to You?* (2007). His four-part Netflix stand-up series *Repertoire* was released in 2018.

He played John in the 2021 film *Cinderella* and made his feature-film acting debut as Lars in *Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire* (2024).
