James B. Sikking (1934–2024) was an American actor. He is best known for playing Lieutenant Howard Hunter in the NBC series *Hill Street Blues* (1981–1987) and Dr David Howser in the ABC series *Doogie Howser, M.D.* (1989–1993). He also appeared as Captain Stan Jonas in the CBS series *Brooklyn South* (1997–1998).

Sikking graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1959. His film credits include *Ordinary People* (1980) as Ray Hanley, *Outland* (1981) as Sergeant Montone and *Star Trek III: The Search for Spock* (1984) as Captain Styles. He received an Emmy nomination for his work on *Hill Street Blues*.
