## Biography

James Dillinger was an American lighting technician, gaffer and occasional cinematographer. He worked in the camera and electrical department on feature films and television productions from the 1960s onwards.

His credits include electrician on *Jaws 3-D* (1983, as James F. Dillinger), lighting technician on *Cadillac Man* (1990), gaffer and director of photography (second unit) on the miniseries *From the Earth to the Moon* (1998), and chief lighting technician on *Thir13en Ghosts* (2001). He served as chief lighting technician on 64 episodes of the series *House* (2006–2009, as Jim Dillinger) and as director of photography on one episode of the series in 2009.

Dillinger was born on 26 October 1923 in the Bronx, New York City, and died on 12 April 2008 in Arlington, Vermont.
