James Duff McAdams was an American television producer and writer. He worked on series including *The Virginian* (1965–1970), where he served as producer on 46 episodes and contributed stories, and *Kojak* (1973–1978), where he was producer on 117 episodes and wrote stories for two episodes.

McAdams also produced *The Eddie Capra Mysteries* (1978) and *The Equalizer* (1985–1989). He acted as executive producer on several *Kojak* television films made between 1985 and 1990. He received two Primetime Emmy nominations. McAdams was born on 11 March 1937 in Los Angeles, California, and died on 8 September 2007 in Cathedral City, California.
