## Biography

James Edward Barker (born 14 February 1980) is a British composer, music producer and film producer. He was classically trained at Newcastle University and is a relation of the film composer Benjamin Frankel.

Barker began composing for feature films in the mid-2000s, often collaborating with Tim Despic. His credits include *Weekend* (2011), *The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)* (2011), *Heist* (2015), *Lean on Pete* (2018) and *The Courier* (2019), on which he also served as writer and producer. He won Best Original Score at the 2017 Les Arcs Film Festival for *Lean on Pete*.
