## Biography

James Handy was an American actor. He appeared in numerous films and television series from the late 1970s onwards, often in supporting and guest roles.

Born in New York City, he trained in theatre at City College there. His film credits include *The Verdict* (1982) as Kevin Doneghy, *K-9* (1989), *Arachnophobia* (1990), *Jumanji* (1995), *Unbreakable* (2000), *Logan* (2017) and *Top Gun: Maverick* (2022). On television he had recurring or notable guest appearances in *Profiler*, *Alias*, *NYPD Blue* and other series.

Handy died on 3 June 2026 in Tarzana, Los Angeles, aged 81, after being stabbed.
