## Biography

James Harkness is a Scottish actor. He was raised in the Gorbals area of Glasgow and studied at King's Park Secondary School. He developed an interest in drama from an early age, trained at LAMDA (graduating in 2013) after being scouted by the National Theatre, and was selected for the BAFTA Elevate programme in 2019.

Harkness is known for his film roles including Angus in *Macbeth* (2015), Private Basteren in *Rogue One: A Star Wars Story* (2016), A.D. Nicholl in *Darkest Hour* (2017), Elliot in *Wild Rose* (2019) and Footman Paul in *Spencer* (2021).
