## Biography

James Lance is an English actor. He trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and began his career in the late 1980s.

He is known for roles in British comedy series including Ben in the first series of *I'm Alan Partridge* (1997) and Matt in *Saxondale* (2006). Other television appearances include *Spaced* (1999), *The Book Group* (2002–2003), *Teachers* (2002–2004), *Black Mirror* (2011), *Being Human* (2009) and *Midsomer Murders* (various). Film credits include *Marie Antoinette* (2006), *Bronson* (2009) and *Bel Ami* (2012). He played Trent Crimm in *Ted Lasso* (2020–).

Lance has also appeared in *Moving Wallpaper*, *Boy Meets Girl* and *No Heroics*.
