## Biography

James Northcote is an English actor and producer. Born James Walker on 10 October 1987 in London, he trained at Queens' College, Cambridge, graduating with a BA in English in 2010, and was a member of the National Youth Theatre and Cambridge Footlights.

He made his professional screen debut as Edgar Linton in *Wuthering Heights* (2011). Subsequent film roles include Princess Betsy's Footman in *Anna Karenina* (2012), Mr Vaughan in *Belle* (2013), Jack Good in *The Imitation Game* (2014), Roberts in *A United Kingdom* (2016) and Aldhelm in *The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die* (2023). On television he has played Aldhelm in *The Last Kingdom* (2015–2022) and appeared in *SS-GB* (2017). He has also worked as a producer on short films including *Morning is Broken* (2015).
