## Biography

Jamie Crichton is a British screenwriter and executive producer. Born in London on 22 November 1976, he studied English and Theatre Studies at Warwick University, followed by a Masters in Contemporary Literature and Culture. Before writing full time he worked as Head of Development at Really Useful Films.

His television writing credits include episodes of *Ripper Street* (2013), *The Tunnel* (2017), *Grantchester* (2019) and two episodes of *The Last Kingdom* (2020). He served as lead writer and executive producer on series 4 of *All Creatures Great & Small* (2022–2024) and wrote and executive produced the true-crime drama *I Fought the Law* (2025). He has received a BAFTA nomination for limited drama.
