## Biography

Jamie Mathieson is a British television screenwriter. Born in May 1970, he began his career as a stand-up comedian before transitioning to writing.

His credits include the feature film *Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel* (2009), multiple episodes of *Being Human* (2010–2013), an episode of *Dirk Gently* (2012), and four episodes of *Doctor Who* (2005) during the Peter Capaldi era: "Mummy on the Orient Express" (2014), "Flatline" (2014), "The Girl Who Died" (co-written with Steven Moffat, 2015) and "Oxygen" (2017). He created the series *Tripped* (2016). In 2023 he published the short story collection *The First Ten*.
