## Biography

Jamie Selkirk is a New Zealand film editor and producer. He began his career at the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation as a trainee editor, cutting newsreels, current affairs programmes, documentaries and dramas, before moving into feature films.

Selkirk has maintained a long collaboration with director Peter Jackson. He edited *Bad Taste* (1987), *Meet the Feebles* (1989), *Braindead* (1992) and *Heavenly Creatures* (1994), and served as supervising editor on *The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring* (2001) and *The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers* (2002). He was editor and co-producer on *The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King* (2003), for which he received the Academy Award for Best Film Editing, and edited *King Kong* (2005). He also worked as a producer on several Jackson projects and helped establish Weta Workshop.
