## Biography

Jan Eliasberg is an American director and writer. She graduated magna cum laude from Wesleyan University in 1974 and received an MFA in directing from the Yale School of Drama in 1981. She also trained at the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women.

Eliasberg began her television directing career in 1986 with an episode of *Cagney & Lacey*. She was the first woman to direct an episode of *Miami Vice* (1984), selected by Michael Mann, and later directed for *Party of Five* (1994). Her credits include multiple episodes of series such as *Blue Bloods*, *Criminal Minds*, *Supernatural*, *The Magicians* and *NCIS: Los Angeles*.

She directed the feature film *Past Midnight* (1991) and has written for television and film. Her debut novel, *Hannah's War*, was published in 2020.
