## Biography

Jane Hartwell is an American film producer known for her work in animation. She graduated from Barnard College and began her career in production at Colossal Pictures in San Francisco in 1987, later working on commercials and Italian documentaries in Rome.

She joined DreamWorks Animation, where she held roles including production manager on *Antz* (1998), associate producer on *Shrek* (2001), and head of production on *Madagascar* (2005). Hartwell produced *The Croods* (2013) with Kristine Belson and received a Producers Guild of America Award nomination for the film. Her later credits include producer on *UglyDolls* (2019) and *Steps* (2026).
