## Biography

Jane Randolph was an American film actress. Born Jane Roemer in Youngstown, Ohio, she grew up in Kokomo, Indiana, attended DePauw University and studied acting at Max Reinhardt’s school in Hollywood after moving there in 1939.

She began her career with bit parts at Warner Bros. before RKO gave her a leading role in *Highways by Night* (1942). Randolph is best known for playing Alice Moore in *Cat People* (1942) and its sequel *The Curse of the Cat People* (1944), as well as appearances in film noir titles including *Jealousy* (1945), *Railroaded!* (1947) and *T-Men* (1947). Her final major film role was in *Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein* (1948).

She married Jaime del Amo in 1949 and retired from acting. Randolph died in Gstaad, Switzerland, in 2009.
