## Biography

Jane Scott is a British-born Australian film producer. She began her career in magazine journalism in the UK before working for three years as a production coordinator at the British Film Institute Production Board. In 1972 she first worked on Australian productions, setting up *The Adventures of Barry McKenzie* in London with director Bruce Beresford, and she relocated permanently to Australia the following year.

Over a career spanning more than three decades she has served as producer or associate producer on numerous features and television productions. Her credits include associate producer on *My Brilliant Career* (1979), line producer on *Crocodile Dundee* (1986), producer on *Crocodile Dundee II* (1988), line producer on *Strictly Ballroom* (1992), producer on *The Tommyknockers* (1993), producer on *Shine* (1996), producer on *Head On* (1998) and producer on *Mao’s Last Dancer* (2009).

Scott was nominated for an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for her work as producer of *Shine*.
