## Biography

Jane Wyatt (also credited as Jane Waddington Wyatt) was an American actress. She played Amanda Grayson, the human mother of Spock, in the 1967 Star Trek episode "Journey to Babel" and reprised the role in the 1986 film Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.

Wyatt is also known for her role as Margaret Anderson in the television series Father Knows Best (1954–1960), for which she won three consecutive Emmy Awards, and as Sondra in the 1937 film Lost Horizon. Her other film credits include Gentleman's Agreement (1947) and House by the River (1950). She began her career on the New York stage and made her film debut in One More River (1934).

Born on 12 August 1910 in Campgaw, New Jersey, Wyatt died on 20 October 2006 in Los Angeles.
