## Biography

Janet Healy is an American film producer. She began her career in live-action films, working with directors including Stanley Kramer, Hal Ashby and Sam Peckinpah, and served as associate producer on Steven Spielberg's *1941* (1979). She later joined Industrial Light & Magic as co-head of production, contributing to visual effects on films such as *Terminator 2: Judgment Day* (1991) and *Jurassic Park* (1993).

In 1995 Healy moved to Walt Disney Feature Animation as head of digital production. She subsequently worked at DreamWorks Animation, where she produced *Shark Tale* (2004). Since 2008 she has been at Illumination, producing the *Despicable Me* films (2010–2017), *Minions* (2015), *The Secret Life of Pets* (2016), *Sing* (2016), *The Grinch* (2018), *Sing 2* (2021) and *Minions: The Rise of Gru* (2022), among others.

Healy is a founder of the Visual Effects Society and received its Founder's Award in 2014.
