## Biography

Jann Turner is a South African film and television director, screenwriter and novelist. Born in 1964, she graduated from Oxford University and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She began her career in South Africa, directing and producing episodic television and documentaries, before moving to Los Angeles.

Her feature directorial debut was the 2009 film *White Wedding*. She has since directed multiple episodes of series including *Grey's Anatomy* (2005), *Teen Wolf* (2011), *Scorpion* (2014), *Chicago Fire* (2012), *Chicago P.D.* (2014), *How to Get Away with Murder* (2014), *SEAL Team* (2017), *S.W.A.T.* (2017), *9-1-1* (2018) and *Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan* (2018). Turner has also written the novels *Heartland*, *Southern Cross* and *Home Is Where You Find It*.
