## Biography

Janusz Sosnowski (1947–2024) was a Polish production designer and scenographer. Born in Warsaw, he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Warsaw University of Technology in 1974 and began working in film as an assistant scenographer in the mid-1970s.

He became known for his work on Polish films including *Sexmission* (1984), *King Size* (1988), *Interrogation* (1989) and *Quo vadis* (2001), as well as international productions such as *Zero Kelvin* (1995), *Aberdeen* (2000) and *King of Devil's Island* (2010). He also designed the sets for the long-running television series *Ranczo* (2006–2016). Sosnowski received multiple awards, including at the Polish Feature Film Festival and two Polish Film Awards (Orzeł) for best scenography.
