## Biography

Jaron Summers is a writer and author. He received a writing credit, shared with Jon Povill and Maurice Hurley, for the *Star Trek: The Next Generation* episode 'The Child' (1988). The story originated in an unproduced script Summers co-wrote with Povill for the abandoned series *Star Trek: Phase II*.

Summers has written for several television series, including *The Incredible Hulk* (1978), *Buck Rogers in the 25th Century* (1980), *Hart to Hart* (1983), *Miami Vice* (1986) and *Diamonds* (1987). He adapted his novel *The Soda Cracker* for the 1989 film of the same name and co-wrote the 1992 film *Killer Image*. Summers has also published novels such as *St. Maarten*, *Mall* and *Safety Catch*, along with numerous short stories.
