## Biography

Jason Moore is an American director of film, stage and television. Born on 22 October 1970 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, he studied at Northwestern University. His early career included work as a resident director on the original Broadway run of *Les Misérables*.

Moore directed episodes of several television series, including *Dawson's Creek* (2001–2002), *Everwood* (2002–2004), *One Tree Hill* (2003), *Brothers & Sisters* (2007) and *Trophy Wife* (2013–2014). He made his feature film debut with *Pitch Perfect* (2012) and went on to direct *Sisters* (2015) and *Shotgun Wedding* (2022). He has also directed the 2026 series *Elle*.

On stage, Moore directed the Broadway productions of *Avenue Q* (for which he received a Tony Award nomination), *Shrek the Musical* and *Steel Magnolias*.
