## Biography

Jay Hunter is a cinematographer and director. He grew up in Barrington, Illinois, and studied film at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he was exposed to experimental filmmaking while studying with Stan Brakhage.

He moved to Los Angeles in 2001. Hunter has worked as director of photography on feature films including *Much Ado About Nothing* (2012) and *Life After Beth* (2014), and on television series such as *Superstore* (2015–2021). He has also directed episodes of *Superstore* and other projects.
