Jay Mello is an American actor born on 16 June 1968 in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. He is best known for his role as Sean Brody, the younger son of police chief Martin Brody, in Steven Spielberg's *Jaws* (1975).

Mello appeared as himself in the documentary *The Shark Is Still Working: The Impact & Legacy of 'Jaws'* (2007). Archive footage of his performance from the original film was used in *Jaws: The Revenge* (1987).
