## Biography

Jay Miracle is a film editor, producer, director and writer. He began his career in the Bay Area after studying sculpture at UC Berkeley, working as an apprentice assistant editor on *The Godfather Part II* (1974) and as assistant editor on *One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest* (1975) and *Star Wars* (1977). He also served as sound editor on *Apocalypse Now* (1979).

Miracle edited *Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse* (1991) alongside Michael Greer, earning a Primetime Emmy Award and an American Cinema Editors award. His later editing credits include *Bettie Page Reveals All* (2013). He has directed and produced documentaries and worked on additional features and television projects.
