## Biography

Jean-Michel Humeau is a French cinematographer. He studied at the Institut des hautes études cinématographiques (IDHEC) from 1957 to 1959 and began working in the industry as an assistant cameraman, including on Jacques Demy's *La Baie des Anges* (1963).

Humeau has served as director of photography on numerous features and documentaries. His credits include co-cinematography on Souleymane Cissé's *Yeelen* (1987), *L'Enfant lion* (1993), *Voyage à Ouaga* (2001) and *Kabala* (2002). He is a member of the Association Française des directeurs de la photographie cinématographique (AFC).
