Jean Pélégri (also credited as Jean Pelegri) was a French actor, writer and professor of literature. He was born on 20 June 1920 in Rovigo, French Algeria, and died on 24 September 2003 in Paris.

He appeared as the Lead Inspector in Robert Bresson's *Pickpocket* (1959). Pélégri also acted in the 1962 film *Les Oliviers de la justice*, adapted from his own novel of the same name, on which he worked as screenwriter and dialogue writer. He taught literature at the Lycée Buffon in Paris.
