Jean-Pierre Kohut-Svelko is a French production designer and art director. He was born on 23 April 1946 in Paris.

He is best known for his frequent collaborations with director François Truffaut on films including *Two English Girls* (1971), *The Story of Adèle H.* (1975), *Small Change* (1976), *The Man Who Loved Women* (1977), *Love on the Run* (1979) and *The Last Metro* (1980). He has also worked with Yves Robert, André Téchiné and Claude Miller.

Kohut-Svelko won the César Award for Best Production Design for *The Last Metro* and received several further nominations for the award.
