Jeanne Carpenter was an American actress whose career began in the silent era. Born in Kansas City, Missouri, she made her film debut as a child in *Daddy-Long-Legs* (1919) and appeared in numerous films through the 1920s, including *Helen's Babies* (1924) and *A Boy of Flanders* (1924).

She continued with occasional uncredited adult roles, among them the diner in the restaurant scene in *City Lights* (1931). Her final screen appearance was as a telephone operator in *Week-End at the Waldorf* (1945). Carpenter also performed in community theatre later in life.
