## Biography

Jefery Levy (1958–2026) was an American film and television director, producer and writer. Born in New York City, he wrote and produced the horror-comedy *Ghoulies* (1985) while a graduate student at UCLA. His feature directorial debut was *Drive* (1991), which won the FIPRESCI Award at the Venice Film Festival.

Levy directed episodes of numerous series, including *Rescue Me* (2004), *Ghost Whisperer* (2005), *CSI: Crime Scene Investigation* (2000), *Monk* (2002), *Eureka* (2006), *Dark Angel* (2000), *Roswell* (1999), *Sliders* (1995), *Numb3rs* (2005) and *Las Vegas* (2003). His other feature films include *Inside Monkey Zetterland* (1992), *S.F.W.* (1994), *Man of God* (2005) and *ME* (2015). He taught at the USC School of Cinematic Arts and the American Film Institute.
