## Biography

Jeff Astrof is a television writer and producer. He began his career on Wall Street before moving to Los Angeles and joining the Warner Bros. Television Writers' Workshop. In 1994 he and his writing partner Mike Sikowitz joined the staff of the new sitcom *Friends*, where he worked as a story editor and writer for the first two seasons.

Astrof later wrote for series including *Duckman* (1994), *The New Adventures of Old Christine* (2006–2010), *Ground Floor* (2013–2015) and *Angie Tribeca* (2016). He co-created *Trial & Error* (2017) and co-created *Shining Vale* (2022) with Sharon Horgan. He has been married to picture editor Shawni Modrell since 2000.
