## Biography

Jeff Gottesfeld is an American novelist, playwright, and television and screen writer. He grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, and studied at Colby College and the University of San Francisco School of Law.

He has written for television series including *Smallville* (2001), *The Young and the Restless* (2006–2008), *As the World Turns*, *Port Charles*, and *The Guiding Light*. His film credit includes co-writing *Broken Bridges* (2006). He is an Emmy nominee and Writers Guild of America award winner.

Gottesfeld has also written young adult fiction under the Zoey Dean pseudonym with Cherie Bennett, and later focused on children's books and plays, including *The Tree in the Courtyard* (2016).
