## Biography

Jeff Greenstein is an American television writer, producer and director. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated from Tufts University in 1984 with a degree in film and dance.

He began his career as a writer on *Dream On*, later becoming showrunner. Greenstein wrote four episodes and served as supervising producer on 23 episodes of *Friends* during its first season (1994–1995). He co-created *Partners* (1995–1996) and *Getting Personal* (1998), and was head writer and showrunner on *Will & Grace* for its first six seasons. His other credits include writing, producing and directing on *Desperate Housewives*.

Greenstein won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series as a producer on *Will & Grace* in 2000.
