## Biography

Jeff Reichert is an American filmmaker, director, producer and cinematographer. He was born in 1978 in Northfield, New Jersey, and lives in Brooklyn, New York. He co-founded the online film journal Reverse Shot in 2003 with Michael Koresky and has written for publications including Film Comment and Filmmaker.

As a director, Reichert’s feature documentaries include Gerrymandering (2010), Remote Area Medical (2013) and This Time Next Year (2014). He also directed the hybrid Feast of the Epiphany (2018) and several shorts. He served as producer and cinematographer on Steven Bognar and Julia Reichert’s American Factory (2019), which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature; Reichert shared the award as a producer. He is married to filmmaker Farihah Zaman.
