## Biography

Jeff Scheftel is an American producer, writer and director. He began his career in the animation department on films including *Who Framed Roger Rabbit* (1988) and *Beauty and the Beast* (1991).

Scheftel has produced and directed numerous documentaries and short films. His credits include *Mahalia Jackson Sings* (1997) and *The Dixie Hummingbirds: 80 Years Young* (2008). He also served as producer on the 30th Anniversary DVD edition of *The Harder They Come* (1972) and has directed many music-related tribute films.
