## Biography

Jeff York (born Granville Owen Scofield) was an American actor who worked in film and television from the late 1930s. He was also credited as Granville Owen and Jeff Yorke.

He appeared as Oliver Hutto in *The Yearling* (1946). York is noted for his roles as Bud Searcy in the Disney films *Old Yeller* (1957) and *Savage Sam* (1963), and as Mike Fink in two episodes of the Disney *Davy Crockett* miniseries. Other credits include *The Postman Always Rings Twice* (1946), *They Were Expendable* (1945), and episodes of *Perry Mason* and *Zorro*. He served in the United States Army during the Second World War.
