## Biography

Jeffrey Lynn, born Ragnar Godfrey Lind, was an American actor who appeared in films and television from the late 1930s onwards. He attended Bates College and worked as a high school teacher before entering acting through summer stock and small Broadway roles.

Lynn made his film debut in 1938 and gained prominence playing Felix Deitz in *Four Daughters* (1938). He reprised the role in the sequels *Daughters Courageous* (1939), *Four Wives* (1939) and *Four Mothers* (1941). Other early film roles included *The Roaring Twenties* (1939), *All This, and Heaven Too* (1940) and *A Letter to Three Wives* (1949). His career was interrupted by military service in the Second World War, during which he received a Bronze Star.

Later credits included appearances in *BUtterfield 8* (1960), *Tony Rome* (1967) and episodes of television series such as *Murder, She Wrote* (1984). He also worked as a film producer and later in real estate.
