Jennifer Oko is a producer and filmmaker. She co-founded the production company Because Media with Miriam Weintraub, specialising in narrative nonfiction documentaries and videos for outlets including PBS, HBO and The New York Times.

Her credits include producer on the 2026 HBO documentary *When a Witness Recants*, directed by Dawn Porter and premiered at Sundance, as well as *Vernon Jordan: Make It Plain* (2020) and work on *American Reckoning* (2021). Oko previously worked as a television news producer and holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She has also written novels and a memoir.
