## Biography

Jenny Galloway (born 1959) is a British actress and singer. She began her career in the 1970s and is best known for her extensive stage work, including the role of Madame Thénardier in *Les Misérables* across multiple productions and concerts from the 1990s onwards.

Galloway has won two Laurence Olivier Awards for Best Supporting Role in a Musical, for *The Boys from Syracuse* (1992) and *Mamma Mia!* (2000), and was nominated for a third. Her film and television credits include *Mary Shelley's Frankenstein* (1994), *Fierce Creatures* (1997), *About a Boy* (2002), *Johnny English* (2003), *Crooked House* (2017), *Good Omens* (2019), *The Queen's Gambit* (2020) as Matron, *Wicked Little Letters* (2023) and *Fleabag* (2016).
