Jeremiah S. Chechik is a Canadian film and television director and photographer. Born in Montreal, Quebec, he studied theatrical arts at McGill University and began his career as a fashion photographer for *Vogue* before moving into commercials and feature films.

His feature credits include *National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation* (1989), *Benny & Joon* (1993), *Diabolique* (1996) and *The Avengers* (1998). He has directed episodes of numerous television series, including five episodes of *Chuck* (2009–2012), as well as work on *Burn Notice*, *Gossip Girl* and *The Gifted*.

In 2007 he directed all eight episodes of the miniseries *The Bronx Is Burning*. The following year he and producer Michael Birnbaum purchased the screen rights to the *House of Night* book series.
