## Biography

Jeremy Benning is a Canadian cinematographer. Born and raised in Toronto, he began with street photography before studying film and working as a Steadicam operator, later becoming an early adopter of digital capture technologies.

He served as the main cinematographer and visual advisor on the sci-fi series *The Expanse* (2015–2022). His other television credits include episodes of *The Boys* (2019), *Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities* (2022), *Accused* (2023–2024) and *Cross* (2024–). Feature work includes *Spin* (2021) and *40 Acres* (2024).

Benning won an American Society of Cinematographers Award for *Killing Lincoln* (2013) and a Canadian Screen Award for Best Cinematography for *40 Acres* (2026). He is a member of the ASC and CSC, and serves on the board of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers.
