Jerome Ross was an American television writer. Born in New York City on 10 February 1911, he began his career as a reporter before moving into radio and then television writing in the early 1950s.

He contributed scripts to numerous anthology and episodic series, including multiple episodes of *Studio One* and *Marcus Welby, M.D.*, as well as single episodes of *The Outer Limits* (1963) and *Mannix* (1967). His work on *Mission: Impossible* (1966) included the episode 'Operation Rogosh'.

Ross received two Edgar Awards from the Mystery Writers of America for best television suspense drama, in 1953 for an episode of *Studio One* and in 1967 for 'Operation Rogosh'. He died on 11 February 2012.
