## Biography

Jerry Boys is a British record producer and audio engineer. He began his career in 1965 as a tape operator at Abbey Road Studios and later worked at Olympic Studios, Sound Techniques and Livingston Studios in London, as well as Sawmills Studio in Cornwall. He has also recorded at studios including EGREM in Cuba and Ocean Way in Los Angeles.

Boys is best known for his engineering and mixing work on the *Buena Vista Social Club* album (1997) and its accompanying 1999 documentary film directed by Wim Wenders. He has collaborated with artists including Ry Cooder, Ibrahim Ferrer, Omara Portuondo, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and R.E.M. He has won multiple Grammy Awards, including for *Mambo Sinuendo* (2003) and *Buenos Hermanos* (2003).
