## Biography

Jerry Scheff is an American bassist. He was born on 31 January 1941 in Denver, Colorado, and grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. After serving in the US Navy, where he studied at the Navy School of Music, he moved to Los Angeles and worked as a session musician.

Scheff joined Elvis Presley's TCB Band in 1969 and played bass on tours and recordings until 1977, appearing in the documentaries *Elvis: That's the Way It Is* (1970) and *Elvis on Tour* (1972). He is also credited on *Elvis - Aloha from Hawaii* (1973). His other notable recordings include The Doors' *L.A. Woman* (1971) and sessions with The Association, Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello. He appears as Self (archive footage) in *EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert* (2026).
