Jerzy Kosiński (also credited as Jerzy Kosinski, Joseph Novak and Józef Lewinkopf) was a Polish-American novelist and actor. Born on 14 June 1933 in Łódź, Poland, he died on 3 May 1991.

Kosiński wrote the 1971 novel *Being There*, which he adapted with Robert C. Jones into the screenplay for the 1979 film of the same name directed by Hal Ashby. He also appeared in a cameo in that film. He played Grigory Zinoviev in Warren Beatty's *Reds* (1981).
