Jesper Kyd is a Danish composer and sound designer. He was born on 3 February 1972 in Hørsholm, Denmark.

Kyd began composing on computers in the demoscene during the 1980s and later worked on video game soundtracks, including the Hitman and Assassin's Creed series. He has also scored films such as *Tumbbad* (2018) and *Chronicles of the Ghostly Tribe* (2015), and provided a new score for the 1928 silent film *The Passion of Joan of Arc* in 2007.

A BAFTA award winner, his work often combines orchestral, choral and electronic elements.
