Jesse Ventura is an American actor, retired professional wrestler and politician. Born James George Janos on 15 July 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he served in the United States Navy Underwater Demolition Team during the Vietnam War before entering professional wrestling in 1975 under the ring name Jesse 'The Body' Ventura.

Ventura began acting in the mid-1980s and is known for film roles including Blain Cooper in *Predator* (1987), a baseball announcer in *The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!* (1988) and Captain Freedom in *The Running Man* (1987). He later served as the 38th governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003.
