## Biography

Jessica Gao is an American television writer and producer. She was born on 2 January 1984 in Hanford, California. After winning the Nickelodeon Writers Fellowship in 2006, she began her career writing for the network's series including *The Mighty B!* (2008) and *Back at the Barnyard* (2007).

Gao has written for *Silicon Valley* (2014), *Corporate* (2018) and other series. She joined the writing room for the third season of *Rick and Morty* (2013), serving as executive story editor and writing the episode 'Pickle Rick'. For that episode she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Programme in 2018.

Gao created and served as head writer on the series *She-Hulk: Attorney at Law* (2022).
