Jill Halfpenny is an English actress. She began her career with a regular role as Nicola Dobson in the BBC children's drama *Byker Grove* (1989–1992) and trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.

She is known for her roles as Rebecca Hopkins in *Coronation Street* (1999–2000), Kate Mitchell in *EastEnders* (2002–2005), Izzie Redpath in *Waterloo Road* (2006–2007), Diane Manning in *In the Club* (2014–2016), Julie Winshaw in *Three Girls* (2017), and Jennifer Robertson in *Liar* (2017–2020). Other credits include appearances in *Humans* (2015), *Ghost Stories* (2018) and *The Long Shadow* (2023).

Halfpenny won the second series of *Strictly Come Dancing* in 2004. On stage, she received the Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her performance as Paulette in the West End production of *Legally Blonde* (2010–2011).
